Use two public locations for a flexible half-day

Quick answer: Start at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), then travel to Nodeul Island for the Han River walk. Netflix identifies both as XO, Kitty filming locations, and both are public visitor destinations rather than school or hotel interiors.

Allow roughly half a day only as a planning frame, not a guaranteed duration. Check a live Korea navigation app for your date and starting point, and leave more time if you enter an exhibition, stop for food or need a step-free route. Save 동대문디자인플라자 and 노들섬 in Korean before leaving; our Korean address and navigation guide explains why the exact map pin matters.

This route does not visit the university used as part of the fictional KISS campus or promise access to private filming areas. Keep entrances, event queues and working spaces clear.

The English-market interest is documented, not assumed

Netflix’s official country-level Top 10 file placed XO, Kitty: Season 3 at No. 1 in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia for the week ending 5 April 2026.

In the following week ending 12 April 2026, the same official dataset listed the season at No. 6 in the United States, No. 5 in the United Kingdom and Canada, and No. 4 in Australia. These are weekly TV ranks in four named markets, not global ranks or a measure of how many viewers intend to travel.

The country-rank file and the filming-location article answer different questions: the first establishes documented viewing interest during a defined period, while Netflix’s Tudum location guide identifies where the scenes were filmed.

Begin at DDP for the welcome-party setting

Netflix identifies Dongdaemun Design Plaza as the KISS welcome-party location in Episode 1 and the setting for Kitty’s exit from the party in Episode 2.

DDP is a working cultural complex, not a preserved TV set. Seoul’s official visitor page, edited on 6 October 2026, lists the address as 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu and Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station Exit 1 as the closest general approach. It lists 10:00–20:00 as general hours but says hours vary by space, so check DDP’s current program before paying for an exhibition or planning an indoor visit.

Travel to Nodeul Island for the river-walk setting

Netflix identifies Nodeul Island, a public island park beneath the Han River Bridge, as the river-walk location for a scene between Principal Lim and Alex.

Use the operator’s current directions page and a live navigation app for the transfer from DDP. Do not rely on a fixed journey time from an article: construction, events and temporary controls can change entrances and pedestrian routes.

For March through October 2026, Nodeul Island’s official notice lists indoor facilities as open Tuesday–Friday 10:00–21:00 and weekends and public holidays 10:00–22:00, with indoor facilities closed on Mondays; it says outdoor areas remain open 24 hours. These are site-level operating hours, not a guarantee that every room, café, event or riverside section is available.

Check Nodeul construction notices on the day

Nodeul Island is in a phased redevelopment running through 2030, so the operator’s latest notice must take priority over a saved itinerary.

The operator announced the waterfront cultural space opening for 18 September 2026, while its project page schedules further waterfront work through December 2027 and aerial and ground work from December 2026 through 2030. Its notice list also records short parking and facility controls. Before leaving DDP, check Nodeul Island’s 2026 notices for closures or changed access.

Do not enter fenced work zones or reconstruct a screen shot from a dangerous road edge. If the exact river segment is unavailable, enjoy only the public area that is open rather than trying to bypass a barrier.

Reverse or shorten the route for weather and access

For rain, heat or limited mobility, DDP offers the stronger indoor-first option, while Nodeul’s scene connection is primarily outdoors.

XO, Kitty route questions

These answers separate verified filming links from details that still need a day-of check.

Are DDP and Nodeul Island confirmed filming locations?

Yes. Netflix’s own filming-location article identifies DDP for the KISS welcome party and Nodeul Island for the river walk.

Is this an official guided tour?

No. It is an independent route connecting two public visitor destinations. No guide, reservation, scene recreation or cast appearance is included.

Can I enter every place shown on screen?

No. Access depends on the public area, program and current restrictions. This route deliberately excludes private or school-like filming locations.

Will the Nodeul river walk look exactly as it did on screen?

Not necessarily. The island is being redeveloped in phases, and landscaping, paths and access can change.

This guide was checked on 21 October 2026. It does not reproduce Netflix stills, claim a personal visit or guarantee access, events, weather or transport times.
